The DFW area's rapidly growing multilingual student population demands educators equipped to support diverse language learners. Our Bilingual and ESL Education specialization empowers teachers to meet this critical need, as Texas now serves nearly one-fifth of the nation's multilingual learners. This program prepares you to create inclusive, culturally responsive classrooms that nurture linguistic diversity and academic excellence.

Throughout your coursework, you will explore bilingual and ESL education theories, practice strategies for English language and biliteracy development, and master content-based language instruction techniques. By aligning with Texas state requirements, our program ensures you're fully prepared to make a meaningful impact in today's multicultural classrooms. As you progress, you'll develop the skills to foster inclusive learning environments that celebrate linguistic diversity and prepare students for success in our increasingly interconnected world.
