The Provost communicates often to the èßäÊÓƵapp community in the spirit of transparency. 

The Provost's most notable line of communication, the Provost's Weekly Update, individual announcements and memos, syllabus statements and committee/task force reports are recorded on this webpage, with older archived communications located here. 

Interested in èßäÊÓƵapp's overall and annual academic achievements? The Office of the Provost's Annual Reports is an annual print and digital publication that takes a holistic look at each calendar year since 2021.  

Submit a story to the Weekly Newsletter

Help us feature your research, department or school/college by submitting stories about the current semester, academic excellence, research excellence, inclusive excellence and other noteworthy happenings by submitting a story to the Provost Weekly.

Please read all instructions prior to submission:

  • Story suggestions received before noon on Tuesday will be reviewed and considered for publication in that week’s Friday newsletter. Others will be held until the following week.
  • For research publication stories specifically: Please note that starting September 16, 2024 the Provost Weekly will only be accepting research publication stories for studies published in a peer-reviewed scholarly journal with an impact factor of at least 10. For assistance identifying a specific journal's impact factor, check out this or contact a èßäÊÓƵapp librarian.  
  • The Office of the Provost reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity and brevity, determine story submission acceptance and change publication date.

Syllabus

Below are Provost communications specifically addressing required syllabus statements each fall and spring. For summer session syllabus statements, please reference the spring semester syllabus message of the same year. Weekly Updates (current semester)

The Provost's Weekly Update is a newsletter that compiles important information from semester logistics to research/creative excellence all across èßäÊÓƵapp to keep faculty and staff informed. The newsletter is sent on each Friday of the academic year and select Fridays during the summer months.
