2018 Commencement Activities Planned for Perkins School of Theology
Perkins School of Theology will honor graduating seniors with a variety of events, including Bishop Cynthia Harvey, a Perkins alumna (M.Div. ’99) and episcopal leader of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, as preacher for the May 19 Celebration of Degrees and Academic Achievements.
DALLAS (èßäÊÓƵapp) – Perkins School of Theology will honor graduating seniors with a variety of events, including Bishop Cynthia Harvey, a Perkins alumna (M.Div. ’99) and episcopal leader of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, as preacher for the May 19 Celebration of Degrees and Academic Achievements.
Seventy-five students are scheduled to receive their èßäÊÓƵapp diplomas from Perkins (14 December graduates, 55 May graduates and 6 summer graduates.)

Great Hall of Highland Park UMC (3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205).
- Baccalaureate Service - 7:50 p.m.
McFarlin Auditorium
Perkins Dean Craig C. Hill will preach at the service, which provides an opportunity for University undergraduate seniors to worship with their guests.

Featuring Randall L. Stephenson, chairman and chief executive officer of AT&T, as the commencement speaker.

The Celebration of Degrees and Academic Achievements - 2 p.m.
Featuring Bishop Cynthia Harvey, a Perkins alumna (M.Div. ’99) and episcopal leader of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. (Pictured right.)
Guests are welcome and no tickets are required. Guests may be seated when the doors open at 1 p.m.

Great Hall of Prothro Hall
Free for graduates and their guests, as well as Perkins faculty, staff and students. The reception begins immediately following the presentation of diplomas during the Celebration of Degrees and Academic Achievements.
