èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman Law Renews Memorandum of Understanding with FLDM
On Friday, February 28, 2025, èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman School of Law reaffirmed its commitment to international legal education by renewing its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey (FLDM). The signing ceremony took place at AJ Thomas Hall, strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.
Dean Jason P. Nance and Assistant Dean Martin Camp joined Dean José Roble Flores Fernández, Director Emérito and Professor of Law at FLDM, in signing the agreement. Also present were Carla De Leon Stafford and Cesar Garza, an FLDM graduate and èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman Law alumnus.
This MoU allows FLDM students to study at èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman Law for two semesters before completing their final term at FLDM, enabling them to graduate with both a Bachelor of Law and an LL.M. The agreement also fosters faculty collaboration, encouraging professors from both institutions to teach and conduct research on each other’s èßäÊÓƵappes.
Dean Nance spoke enthusiastically about the renewal of this agreement after four successful years, emphasizing that some of èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman Law’s brightest alumni have come from FLDM to study in Dallas, ultimately becoming licensed attorneys in both Mexico and the United States. Cesar Garza, an FLDM Bachelor of Law graduate and an èßäÊÓƵapp Dedman Law LL.M. and J.D. alumnus, expressed his excitement about seeing both his alma maters continue their collaboration through this MoU.
