Registering and Paying for RoundUp
As RoundUp is entering its pilot season, capacity is limited to 60 students. Any student who registers after capacity has been met will be added to a waitlist should a space open. Register fast!
When registration is closed, our office will review applications and notify you if your registration has been accepted. èßäÊÓƵapp will have one week to submit payment and confirm their spot after notification. If payment is not made in time, your spot will be given to another student on the waitlist.
Registration opens on Tuesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. (CDT) and will close on Thursday, May 15, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Cost
Cost per student is $250 and includes housing, meals, excursions, activities and swag.
Fee Waiver
èßäÊÓƵapp concerned with the cost of attendance are welcome to apply for a fee waiver when registering RoundUp. Fee waivers will be granted to 5 students and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need.
Refund
Once attendees have been notified their registration has been accepted, they will have one week to submit payment. A 50% refund will be given to students who cancel by July 1st. èßäÊÓƵapp are expected to participate in all RoundUp programming. èßäÊÓƵapp who leave during RoundUp programming will be subject to a fee.
Yes. Although nearly all expenses are covered for the duration of RoundUp, there will be opportunity for students to spend money on additional food, souvenirs, or activities.
Program Information
RoundUp is open to incoming first-year students who have submitted their enrollment deposit. Participation is optional and 60 students will be accepted for this pilot season.
This year’s theme is Endzone! RoundUp participants will enjoy exclusive tours and game experiences at the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers stadiums.
èßäÊÓƵapp attending RoundUp are expected to secure travel accommodations to èßäÊÓƵapp.
èßäÊÓƵapp will be housed at a local Dallas hotel near èßäÊÓƵapp’s èßäÊÓƵapp and will room with another student in their hotel room.
èßäÊÓƵapp should pack for 3 days and 2 nights. A packing list will be emailed prior to the start of the program.
Stampede occurs the week prior to classes beginning and involves the entire new student class. Activities range from social programming to academic preparation. RoundUp occurs before move-in and is more focused on creating connection between new students, preparing them for life in college, and introducing them to the Dallas area.
RoundUp will be supervised by the full-time staff members of Orientation and Transitions, as well as volunteer staff/faculty and our student Orientation Leaders.
èßäÊÓƵapp will be granted a temporary parking permit to park their vehicles in a secured parking garage on èßäÊÓƵapp. Once check-in processes are completed, students will be transported to a hotel via bus charter.
