The Meadows Museum's current exhibition The Sense of Beauty will feature masterworks by the leading lights of European and American painting. The exhibition gathers religious and historical pictures by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck, and Angelica Kauffmann; portraits by Joshua Reynolds and Elisabeth Louise Vigée-LeBrun; landscapes by Claude Lorrain and Gustave Courbet; and genre scenes by Jean-Léon Gérôme and William-Adolphe Bouguereau.

The spring 2025 photography exhibit American Photography Now is currently on display in the Mezzanine Gallery of Photography in the Owen Arts Center. This exhibition features work from Introduction to Photography students Davis Bland, Jack Bracher, Ella Finnegan, Gabe Garlick, Kevin Guo, Spencer Hogan, Ellie Pierce, Tiffany Pranoto, Yana Spitzer, and Oliver Wilkin, and Film Photography students Joyce Alexander, Meg Castellanos, Ben Ferst, Victoria Garcia, Sophie Knox, Davis Sinnott, Sara Stoetzel, and Jane Strauss, with guest artist Carolina Yáñez. Hamon Arts Library's new Hawn Gallery exhibition by Tony Award-winning set designer John Arnone, I AM THE SPACE WHERE I AM, is a retrospective of Arnone's theater design work with a title that encapsulates the essence of the theatrical experience in its most refined and exquisite form.

Patchmade is a multi-media, cumulative solo show for Capri Woss's final year in the B.F.A. program. It showcases painting, sculpture, and fiber-based works, made within her course of study. The show will be on display in the Jordan Gallery and details a woman's complex relationship with the self, her family and femininity. The installation seeks to understand how one's genetic tapestry and societal placement contributes to the formation of a unique individual. Are we our families, past, or gender? Does it matter?

APRIL 5 – 12, 2025

The Wait of Red presents B.F.A. student Naw Nhkum’s exploration of traditional printmaking (copperplate etching and woodcut) alongside paintings, united by the artist’s evolving engagement with red as both formal element and symbolic anchor. The works, on display in the Doolin Gallery, trace a dialogue between material process and personal reflection – where the physicality of printmaking techniques mirrors the weight and patience embedded in the title. The exhibition frames red not just as pigment, but as a marker of time, transformation and the artist’s own creative chronology.

Lost Language, which will be on display in the Jordan Gallery, is a series of paintings inspired by the reverence and study of magic that druids practiced. Senior B.A. student Britton Purcell uses the influence of Celtic runes and the respect for nature ancient magic entailed to create intricate designs and forms in an exploration of her heritage.
