Industrial Vehicles

At èßäÊÓƵapp, a variety of industrial vehicles are used regularly on èßäÊÓƵapp. èßäÊÓƵapp Industrial Vehicle Program is a combination of multiple smaller programs (Forklift, Scissor-Lift, Aerial-Lift, Backhoe, Skid-steer, etc.) This Program contains industry standards, OSHA regulations, and èßäÊÓƵapp specific standards.

Anyone who operates (students, staff, contractors, etc.) an industrial vehicle on èßäÊÓƵapp property will need to follow èßäÊÓƵapp safety standards

èßäÊÓƵapp students or employees who want to use an industrial vehicle will need to receive authorized training from èßäÊÓƵapp ORM. Training can be in-person or a combination of online and in-person training.

èßäÊÓƵapp Specific Safety Standards:

  • All industrial vehicle lifts on èßäÊÓƵapp require the operator to wear a fall protection harness.
  • Aerial Lifts nor scissor lifts will be operated at height with winds over 25 mph.
  • If traveling in any industrial vehicle, working in a high traffic area, or on the road, the area shall be blocked off or have dedicated flaggers or a pilot vehicle to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other vehicles.
  • Industrial vehicles that have road vehicle lights or is a landscaping vehicle (lawnmowers, tractors, sprayers) do not need a pilot vehicle when operating on èßäÊÓƵapp owned roads.
  • No combustion engines may be operated inside a building without a method to exhaust contaminants and continues air monitoring.
  • Only authorized èßäÊÓƵapp employees may operate èßäÊÓƵapp industrial vehicles.
  • èßäÊÓƵapp contractors shall not use èßäÊÓƵapp vehicles without prior approval from èßäÊÓƵapp ORM.
